The Makeup Artist and Founder of social media beauty brand Alexa Persico Cosmetics has built a cult following of over half a million beauty fanatics that love and support the rapid growing makeup brand.
Most recognizable for her ultra shimmer “HD Pigments” and the classic “Lip Velour” Glosses on Instagram, Alexa Persico is the creator, beauty, and brains behind the social media start up brand “Alexa Persico Cosmetics” The journey began for Persico at the young age of fourteen, while most young girls are still trying to figure out what they want to be when they grow up, Alexa displayed a strong creative eye in makeup and knew (even back then) that she wanted to be a part of the Cosmetic Industry. She started training in New York City and studied under the makeup industries top professionals in various makeup schools and courses. Quickly, Alexa learned the tricks of the trade and decided to take her talent and turn it into a business, and doing so became a master at her craft. Her passion for beauty led her to start her career as a freelance makeup artist. Working in the industry with numerous clients, Alexa began to realize that every woman had their own unique beauty to them; it was just a matter of accentuating that beauty and having the right products to do so. This inspired Alexa to take the plunge and start the development of her very own makeup brand: Alexa Persico Cosmetics. She launched the brand in July of 2012 with her signature Lip Velour Gloss collection: A non sticky weightless gloss specially formulated to glide on effortlessly without a sticky/tacky feel consisting of 8 different shades (This is the brands most loved product). Along side launching 8 of her classic luxury cream lipsticks in the “Perfect Lips” collection. Since Inception, Persico’s brand has grown to over 55 products + counting (Including her widely successful collaboration with Country Music Star Jessie James Decker) with sales doubling every year since. Although she respectfully declined to give sales projections, industry sources said the line can easily do $2.5 million to $3 million dollars in retail sales closing out of 2018.
